godfather license dropped by ea
As a result of a terribly crappy Metacritic review score for both Godfather games as well as poor sales figures, EA has decided to kill the Godfather franchise. According to gamers, the company couldn't do much in terms of creating a great game based on the excellent movie franchise and this is probably a blessing in disguise for the Godfather intellectual property.

"I thought the first game wasn't all that bad, pitiful compared to the masterpiece of Mafia, of course, but this second one seemed a ridiculously rushed and/or lazily made game," said BloodMist via Gamespot. "So I certainly have no problem with this at all, especially as Mafia 2 gets closer."

"This is a good decision on EA's part. Still, EA has more to regret before it realizes that exploiting IPs that originated in the film industry is a fool's errand," said Gelugon_baat.

OH MY GOD THANK GOODNESS. Hopefully someone decent other than EA decides to take over the franchise because it has a lot of potential.
